Is it a place for the sellers to send items to and people purchase online, or do people sell it from their own home. Its my 1st time buying something off ebay, and worried ill be scammed. What if the sellers keep the items while you purchase it? Is there anyway they can scam? ~~~ Shawn ~~~

Sellers usually sell things from their own home and some drop-ship from other companies. Sign up for PayPal and use it to pay for your item. They have buyer protection. I have had over 800 transactions on ebay and havent been scammed once.

Anything can be scammed.. but if you are smart shopper you will look at their score before putting in a bid.. too many negatives and you avoid that seller, I dont buy if its under 96% ratings by the buyers. Use pay pal because if the guy doesnt send you the merchandise you can put in a dispute about 20 days later your money will be refunded by Pay pal.

basically, anyone can be scammed on ebay, and anyone can scam someone else too. but u give all your personal details, including your bank account details, so scamming someone would be kind of stupid. but regarding where items are stored, big businesses and retailers that have ebay shops may store them in wherehouses or special places, but most ebayer store their items in their house. Most people on ebay, are selling there own stuff, second hand or brand new, and would store the items in places where they think is best suitable, whether that be in the spare bedroom, or the attic, or the frontroom under the stairs etc. ebay is relatively safe, just read the descriptions te sellers give and email them to ask questions before buying. ebay is amazing, i am a great seller, and buyer, and you can find things on ebay you wouldnt even think of buying in store :)
